GIMP Apply A Logo To A Texture 1In this tutorial, we will see how to apply a logo image to a textured background image such as bags, shirts, vehicles and more.  We will be using the Perspective tool, Bump Map, various Blending Modes and the iWarp filter in GIMP. This little technique can be used for fun or image branding.

 

For the purposes of this GIMP tutorial, we will be applying the GIMP logo, Wilbur, to a paper bag. The end product will look like this:

We start by launching GIMP and opening up our background image.  In this first part of the tutorial, we will be using this image of a paper bag (paperbag.jpg).
