A few months ago, we added the MyBlog component to allow members to create and post their own blogs through the site. MyBlog is an excellent pro component from Azrul and is the only true multiuser blog component I’m aware of for Joomla that integrates seamlessly with Jomsocial.
Recently, in an effort to reduce clutter on our pages and to provide more interaction for our users, we opted to implement a Web Toolbar. After much reading and comparison, we chose Wibiya as it has an excellent track record and more of the features we were looking for.
After installing Wibiya, however, we noticed that our MyBlog interface wasn’t loading Rich Text features and right menu options such as Tags, Meta and Images.
Naturally, we assumed a conflict with Javascript or Mootools but a Google search turned up very little information and no quick solution. As it turns out, the solution (at least the one that worked for us) is quite simple.
Log into your Wibiya account and click on “Edit Toolbar”.
Click on “Troubleshooting” and select all troubleshooting options.
While I suspect the one that actually fixed the conflict is the Javascript/Framework Conflict option which I assume inserts the no conflict option (nc=1) to the Wibiya Toolbar script, having
the other options checked can’t hurt.
Click the “Save” button and you’re done!
It may take up to an hour for your changes to take effect depending on your site’s Cache settings.
